Christie’s Arms and Armour from the Mougins Museum of Classical Art, Part II
NEW YORK – Christie’s is proud to present the second armoury sale from the Mougins Museum of Classical Art, founded by Christian Levett. This storied collection is the largest and most prestigious group of ancient arms and armour in private hands. The sale encompasses 46 lots, including helmets, shields, and panoplies representing every period of Greek and Roman history, as well as vases, sculptures and reliefs that illustrate how this armor was worn and used in antiquity.
